She's Like A Rainbow

When I was first introduced Odessa Paloma Parker, we both realized we had met before. "I used to see you at Blow Up right?" "Every week." For those that don't know, Blow Up was the mod/soul/brit invasion night run by the notorious Davey Love that ran through the 90s and into the early 2000s in Toronto. More than a "dj night", Blow Up really felt like a community of like-minded, fashionable  people (kids, actually, we were kids) dancing to The Kinks and The Who in a sweaty pit of late-night mistakes.  It was quite the scene.

God only knows what I wore to Blow Up, but if I had a time travel machine right now, I'd go back and do it right, wearing any of these amazing pieces from Odessa's mod-inspired Grey Lagoons collection.

If 1960s british music and fashion had sex, Grey Lagoons would be their baby.  And what a pretty baby it would be.

Each of these one-of-a-kind pieces has been designed and hand-made in Toronto by Odessa along with Fitzroy's own designer extraordinaire Sarah Donofrio.  You'll be able to see the collection in person at our Pop-Up launch party this THURSDAY SEPTEMPER 19th, and if there are any left after that night, you can find them at our pop-up inside Love of Mine Boutique until October 20th.

We are so thrilled to have worked with Odessa and Sarah on this project and cannot wait for you to see the finished products in just a few short days!  Until then, here is a sneak peek at a few of the colourful pieces!
